This might sound stupid but I went back to work this week just did mornings do ease back in to things and every afternoon this week my little fella has been so sad and upset. He is normally really smiley and babbling away to himself and this week I really struggle to get smiles from him and he just gets really sad and starts crying!!

He is almost 7 months.

Any suggestions?

Could he just be tired?

I don't think at 7 months babies have 'object permanance', i.e. The feeling of missing something that's not there? So I think it's much more likely that he's bothered about something else, which when you were with him all the time you'd correctly put down to tired/teething/hungry/growth spurt but since you've gone back to work there's a chance you're overthinking it? Try not to worry he'll be just fine :)
