I used a medela mini. I didn't express on a regular basis - just if I needed to leave DS for an hour or so. I didn't rate it but others do. I think everyone gets on with different pups depending on level of usage and boob shape/size.

Thanks. I should have Mentioned it needs to be one for regular use as my daughter is in hospital and will never be able to be fed at the breast

You can normally hire hospital grade pumps which might be better in that situation. No idea how you go about it but hopefully someone will be along soon who does.

Hire one. See if you can get an Ameda hospital grade, but look for an older, Swiss-made one rather than the new Chinese-made versions.

Ameda is better than Medela because it's a closed system.

The hospital usually hire them.

I like the ameda lactaline double and the lansinoh electric. Breast pumps are quite individual as some prefer the silicone cup and some prefer the rigud.

Personally i would be very careful with medela as some of theor pumps, (swing) will draw the milk back into the actual pump.

You can hire direct from Medela, I did for about 6 months and it was worth it for the hospital grade pump. Excellent customer service too, they got the pump to me within 12hrs of ordering!

Purchased an ameda so I will see what it's like x
