I don't actually know whether to weather this out or see the GP as my dd 7 months has had watery stools/diarrhea for 5 days. She was definitely unwell too to begin with but now appears better in every way other than her poo. She's hydrated and alert and did have one normal nappy recently but dh thinks that calpol caused that. Would I be wasting my gps time with an appointment? I just think it's been going on so long but having not experienced this before I don't really have anything to compare it to...

No, you wouldn't be wasting your GP's time with this. Or have a chat with your health visitor.

Is she teething? Both of mine done a lot of runny poos when they were teething.

Being dribbly can cause runny poos.

Thanks all, I saw the GP in the end who thought teething or a bug but wasnt sure which. She did health checks, was not concerned but gave me a pot for a stool sample. Baby has been much much better today Smile
