Playing in garden

Morning all, at what age did you/would you allow your child to play out in the garden without you being out there too? But keeping watch from indoors?

My little boy is four in May and ok behaved, ie I don't have to have eyes up my bum to stay on top of him. We are moving in a fortnight to a new home, with a big garden so I know he'll want to get out there more.

My two play outside (4 and 2). I listen out and keep an eye out of the Windows.

Depends on the garden really.
My garden isn't too child friendly, there are steps, lots of gravel and horses that wander right over and poke their heads over the fence.

Aw, no horses in the new garden, just a nosey old couple who will likely poke their heads over the fence!

I guess it is subjective, what the kid is like, what the garden is like and the setup of the house to the garden etc

Mine would play out at 2 - keep ears open and stay where you can hear him

Two. With me keeping watch through the kitchen window.
