My Little one not invited to my best friends little ones party

hello .. Sorry I'm quite annoyed my 2 children hasn't been invited to my friends little ones party .. It's only a little tea party but me and my friend have done everything together lately even booked a holiday with both our families for later on in the year .. Well it's her younger ones party and I have a little one the same age she said the older one can invite someone he's picked another child I'm just annoyed really because surely we should of had an invite ??
Thing is I no she was annoyed because her little one didn't get invited to a party ?? I just had to have a rant thank

To be honest if it's a little party and the children themselves were allowed to choose who was on the invite list I think you're being a bit unreasonable towards your friend.

How old are the dc? Was she annoyed with you or someone else at the party. Is the older one 'helping' ? I let my older dc have a friend to help but only if I know that they will occupy the older dc and not try to win everything. Maybe the dc aren't as friendly as you parents are. One of my best friends has one dc who gets on fabulously with one of mine but the other dcs actively dislike each other.

You need to clarify how old are your DC, whether you are invited?

Your OP read to me that your youngest is the same age as the birthday child but only your oldest child plus one friend is invited.
If this is the case the easiest thing would have been to use the extra invite for your other child.

However I think you may have misinterpreted your friend. She may have not been clear that your youngest was invited automatically and she was just adding an extra for your oldest. Why not just ask?

And yes my oldest and youngest child are the Same age as her 2 so we have always taken them out together .. And neither has been invited as her oldest chose another child .. Think it's me being petty

It gets easier when they are all at school. We now go out for coffee child free without the pressure of having to pretend that the dc get along! I will also have her dd over as she is friendly with one of mine. We would both drop everything to help if needed though.

Yeah we take little ones to playgroup when the older ones are in school and they are in in the same class together probably should have mentioned that .. Suppose this type of thing is going to happen quite a lot over the coming years.
