Our bed (and night) times are torture. The 18 month old still nurses to sleep, and all night. Meanwhile, DH sleeps with 3 year old DS who has to rub my bare legs with his feet to get to sleep, and then have someone next to him all night. DD, 6 goes to sleep okay but has a tendency to wake at the crack of dawn. Are we the furthest away from any desirable sleeping arrangement, or can anyone top this? I was coping with it okay, but in the last few days I think I may have cracked... And am also too ashamed to discuss it with anyone IRL Smile

I only have one bad sleeper so I don't think I can beat you but my dd is 13 months and never slept through. Has got worse rather than better and last night when I got frustrated and out her back in her cot for a bit she started headbutting the cot and now has a small bruise (even though I obv took her out after seeing that!) Anyway, massive sympathy on your bad sleepers! At least my dd is lovely during the day and I'm sure yours are too

My 2-year-old has been a horror at bedtime for a week now. I don't know if it's because he turned 2 and is testing the boundaries, is genuinely distressed, or is unsettled with a new(ish) sister.

He screams, cries and shouts as soon as we try to turn the light off. Nothing is right. We must stay with him/ must leave him alone, must read a stroy/ stop talking, fetch milk/ take it away etc...

I've started saying I'll stay if he stops crying, which stops him crying, but means I'm there for up to 2 hours. So hard with a hungry baby waiting downstairs.

I feel like I'm rubbish at this. I hate seeing him so upset. He says things like 'I can't sleep in there' and 'I don't like night-time'.
