Give my DD paper to play with? She is 10 months and will merrily sit amongst a pile of paper/magazine/newspaper/wrapping paper ripping it up, putting it in her mouth, spitting it out in disgust.....
I was at my mums and she was happy to give her an old magazine (no staples!) and let her have fun but out shopping she started grumping in the trolley so I gave her a leaflet to play with and was bollocked my some nosy cow for letting her play with it as it was dangerous

Is she right? can't be that bad can it?!

how is it dangerous exactly - the worst they can get is a paper cut?!?!?!?!

Don't worry, I let my ds play with paper, rip up magazines and catalogues and eat tissue (don't ask!)

Next time tell the nosey old cow to f**k off!

Blossomgoodwill · 21/12/2006 12:20

As long as you sit with her and check she doesn't eat it of course it's fine!

LoveMyGirls · 21/12/2006 12:25

even if she eats it i wouldnt think it would do that much harm im sure i remember being in 1st school and eating sugar paper - thinking it was made of sugar........

i wouldnt encourage it obviously but if wont cause long term or even short term damage will it. My sister ate a marble i ate a 2 pence peice, we're still alive......
