White lumps in baby's poo??

Hi, I have a 2 week old baby and over the last couple of days her crying has intensified. I have noticed that her poo has small white lumps in it and I am worried that she has a bad tummy. I am breastfeeding and top her up with SMA Gold. Has anyone come across this before?

How long have you been 'topping her up'? Did the lumps / crying coincide with introducing formula?

sorry this isn't much help, am sure someone more experienced will be along in a minute...

Are they like seeds? It's perfectly normal, and ensures that she is getting the hind milk. The crying intensifying is probably the start of wind (I hesitate to use the word colic) again, all perfectly normal.

If she has the start of a bad tummy, the poo would be like adults', water!

I always thought it was just little curdled milk globs, it used to happen with my ds and he was breast only for the first couple of months. My midwife said as ling as the poo looked like chicken korma it was fine! But agree that if you're worried you should ring your HV.
