Put it high up?

Yes ours is on top of the wardrobe. I didn't realise you could make the sun come on unless with the alarm.

There is a lock on it but it is totally obvious for a child to figure out. Some kind of press and hold.

I cant be more precise as I sold ours after that debacle

The key lock feature is in the blue section at the bottom.

Aah found it! Would put it high up but no where in new room is it possible to do this.

as noted, there is a way to do it. Do NOT let your child see how you do it!

Switching it on and off at the wall seems to override the lock - DS worked this one out very quickly. Also the problem with putting it up high is that they can pull it down onto their heads. I think it would be much better if there was an option for it to be battery operated and wall mounted. Our was removed after I found DS chewing on the charger, still plugged in, which he'd pulled out of the back of the clock. I think whoever designed it must have an exceptionally placid toddler!
