How Dyou do this on toddlers and older babies who tip any gloves or mittens right off? It's so cold I don't want my baby to get cold hands but keeping anything on them is nigh on impossible :-(

I threatened to superglue my ds's gloves to his hands once. Unfortunately, I don't think even that would work somedays.
Eventually they learn to keep them on, until then I found the easiest thing was coats a size too big so they can tuck their hands into their sleeves, or tucking them under a blanket or cosy toes in the pram.

Cost a size too big with long inner sleeves that pull out over hands. We got one from mothercare.

I've decided to sew some gloves onto a fleece jumper, DS's hands froze this morning as we were out for over an hour.
