Recommendations for what a baby should sleep in?

What do people recommend? Snuzpod, cocoonbaby, sleepyhead, crib?? I have bought a Gro Swaddle already.

I bought a Sleepyhead when DS was one week old and we couldn't put him down to sleep. It was the best £100 I've EVER spent. We put it inside a Moses basket for a while and then in his cot in our room.

We have a snuzpod for DD2, now 13wks and I love it. She prefers the sides up rather than down which I'd been looking forward to. But love that it fastens to the bed at just the right height

Thanks - Are they ok to use overnight and what was it like when they outgrew it?

I use a snoozepod, save yourself the money on a sleepyhead and use a rolled up towel or blanket.

To be honest they don't last long! They start wacking their arms on the sides.

I think a Chico next to me might be wider.

Also we have a Ewan The Sheep and a white noise app.

We used the buggy bassinet rather than a Moses basket - didn't see the point in having something so similar for a relatively short period of time.

Would not have been without the Gro Snug in the early weeks. DD didn't get on with swaddles but slept so much better with her arms zipped in the snug.

We have a Snuzpod. DS is still in it at 4.5 months, though I agree with the poster above who mentioned about babies whacking their arms on the sides when they start to flail around in their sleep.

It lasts longer than a Moses basket, though - my friend's baby of the same age outgrew his basket some time ago but is still in his Snuzpod. The Chicco is definitely wider - we couldn't fit it next to our bed - but I preferred the look of the Snuzpod. It has handy rails for things like muslins too.

We used my pregnancy pillow (Dreamgenii) to lure DS into the Snuzpod at first and mimic a Sleepyhead, but I don't know anyone who's regretted buying a Sleepyhead.

We have a snuzpod which is great for next to the bed but my son is fussy and wouldn't sleep in it so in desperation we also got a sleepyhead, which we had on the bed in between us for a few weeks but now goes inside the snuzpod. Works brilliantly and we bring the sleepyhead downstairs for daytime naps etc. Dreading when he outgrows it but hopefully he'll be happy in just the snuzpod by then.

Use a rolled up towel and save £100!

Chicco next 2 me and sleepyhead had been great for us! He's just moved into his own room (with sleepyhead in cot) at 6 months, but can still fit in the crib (he is tiny though!).

loved using my snuzpod, DD just grew out of it. Great to use at night, and also as a moses basket during the day :)
