My ds is 10 weeks and FF. He did a poo earlier which had stringy bits in, is this normal?

I've never heard of that. The only thing that came to mind was thread worms but they would be small. Take a picture of it next time (I know, gross but it helps) and if it continues I'd go to see your GP.

Has has he had a cold? Could it be mucus?

My daughter has been poorly recently and had mucus in her poo which looked kind of stringy and slimy. What's the colour and smell like?

Have you given him any solids? Banana can come out as brown strings. I'd guess no as 10 weeks is very young for solids.

Sounds like mucus to me

He has been a bit snuffly but no cold. And no, not had any solids yet!

His poo today was normal yellow peanut buttery stuff so I guess it was a one off. I will keep an eye on it though.
