Is it true that teething causes a runny and/or blocked nose? my 6 month old girl has been teething since she was 3 months but no teeth yet and she's had a runny/blocked up nose for about 6 weeks now, we're using a thing to suck out the snot, we're also using "snuffle baby" and "karvol" the creche says its just teething but i'm not sure, its really starting to bother her!!

My ds has been teething since 3 months also he's now 4.5 months haven't noticed it's causing a runny/blocked up nose though. A hell of a lot of dribble but not runny nose, not really sure why teething would cause this? Is she ok in other ways?

DS, same age as your LO, has runny nose with teething - when it's really bad it's like someone has switched on a tap! I can tell it's teething because it stops and starts and is often accompanied with the red cheeks. He has 3 teeth so far and another about to break through.
