There's a boy in dd's class (Y5) called Albert. Not keen I must say.
Quite like Hope though wouldn't choose it myself.

Not keen on Albert but we almost called dd2 Hope. Decided it didn't go with our surname though so we called her Grace instead.

Hm...Albert...generally would say not my thing, but had a lovely greatuncle, that was callewd albert, so like that name for that!
Love the name Hope

Ds would have been 'Claudia Hope' if he had been a girl, so we like Hope.

Albert is nice, but then I like the older names.

I have an Uncle Albert. I think he last had a bath c. 1973. Which would put one off a bit.... Having said that I like old-fashioned names in general, so this is clearly just a prejudice of mine.

Quite like Hope though.

I like Albert, though I think they've taken the trend for choosing names from Eastenders a little too far.

PetitFilou1 · 19/12/2006 13:42

I like them both - think those old fashioned names are coming back in. There are a few Mabels near me and Violet and Iris also seem to be in.
