Sock or no socks at night?!

Moving my DS (21 months) into a bed tonight, so changing from vest/sleeping bag to pjs and duvet... But don't know whether to put socks on him or not... So just wondering what you do for your little ones who are in pjs with duvet - socks on no socks?!

Socks definitely, I have realised my ds wakes up early unless he has cosy socks tucked into his pjs. Good luck with the switch over.

None of mine wear socks at night including the 17 month old who wears pjs. They do all get very hot in their sleep though even when the rooms are cool.

Dd1 always wears socks and has done since around that age - she refused to take some Santa socks off iirc and that was that. It has to be seriously warm for her to go barefooted in bed. She's 8. Dd2 who's 5 does if she feels cold.

Thanks. Went with socks but he kept pulling them off (along with pj bottoms too!)

No socks. Sweaty feet yuck!

21mth ds wears socks if it's very cold but it doesn't seem to make a difference to him. My other 2 rarely wear socks to bed unless it's freezing.

We left ds1 in his gro bag over night when he switched to bed, he figured out how to walk in it immediately!

But otherwise loose socks, if its chilly

No socks.

Slipper sock type things here, while it's so cold. DD takes them off if she's too hot. (Well, sometimes I think she just takes them off just for fun, but she doesn't then complain of being cold/cold feet, so...)

lljkk · 07/01/2016 19:43

Put socks on & he can take them off if his feet are hot, let him decide in general.

I wear 3-4 prs to bed, though. Maybe biased. Grin

My 22 month old kicks his duvet off so I put him in socks at night. His feet aren't sweaty?!

skankingpiglet · 09/01/2016 12:23

I only put socks on DD at night when we've been camping. I hate wearing socks and they are the first thing I want to take off at the end of the day, so I couldn't make DD wear them for that reason. Plus she's a 'cold person', and don't think she'd appreciate the extra layer. She's still climbing out from under her duvet and sleeping on top of it even now it's gotten colder and we don't have the heating on over night. She does sleep with her feet tucked under her and her bum in the air though, so I guess she keeps them warm that way.

She's 19mo btw Smile
