Moving dd(7) in with ds (6) for two years?

Advice, we are moving into a new home in March, another 3 bed. Currently have girl (7)in one and boy (6) in the other.

What would you do about baby?

1- put their cot/nursery furniture in either kids room depending on sex,

Or 2- put daughter and son in room in bunk beds for 2/3 years and baby in own nursery. Then swap baby and the opposite sex bedroom. So baby then goes in bottom bunk.

Kids love sleeping together and always want to be in each other's room. But I fear they won't want to share a bedroom. What do we do? Bunk beds? Where do we put toys ect!
Help!

They'll be fine sharing at that age.

Mine had bunk beds and loved sharing.

Ummm do it now but don't create the nursery until after the baby is born. That way your children will not feel they are being pushed aside for the baby. Could you make it into an interim spare bedroom? What my parents did was put my sister in with me when she was 9 months. I think if my sister had been a boy then they would have been together.

My DD age 8 and DS age 10 still share a room - they love it.
