Nappy Nippers are hard to use!!!

My friend showed me her real nappy trial pack which had a tots bots rainbow nappy with nappy nipper to fasten. I had heard these were the best option and was practicing away but found them really hard to use. Couldn't get them to catch on the material and stay at all!
Am I being a complete moron??!

you have to pull them further than where you want them to attach and let them 'catch' the material

i wouldn't imagine they'd work without a baby in the nappy to fill it out tbh

Did you do it when the nappy was on the baby? The baby needs to be in the nappy for them to work. Nippas are super and work great with Totsbots.

Nappy Nippas are really easy. I have recently got the staff at ds's nursery into them.
They are simple once you get the hand of them and your nappies will last much longer if you nippa them instead of aplix.

okay well maybe that explains it then, the nappy wasn't on, was just folding on the floor to see how it all worked. Now I'm scared to get nappies that need nippas though in case I am actually a dunce and then can't close any of them!!

maveta, that won't be the case. Put the nappy on baby pull the nappy nippa side to side catching the nappy and then down again and catch the material.
Pull it really tight if it helps and then adjust it.

Promise you'll be able to use them

PinkTinsel · 14/12/2006 12:58

why not try on a doll next time to get the hang of it?

maveta · 14/12/2006 12:59

okay, you have saved the day for nappy nippas , I will give them a try, thanks for the help girls!

Maveta - they're dead easy when the nappy is on the baby. Even DH can use them!!

Nobody warned me how sharp they are, mind you (one cut finger later)
