Anyone done fast track gcse maths ???

My local college is offering this starting from Jan and I am thinking about doing it if I can sort out childcare as it's on a Sat morning.

I am crap at Maths absolutly hate it to the point that is scares me whitless but I need to do it at some point.

When something is explained to me properly then I am usually ok and pick it up quite quickly but I am concerned that as it is fast track that I may get left behind if I sturggle a bit.

Oh I know but I just panic and think I can't answer it before I have even finnished reading the question.

Last time I was at college and we had a maths lesson we were doing fractions and I thought I was gonna cry cos everyone else seemed to get it and I didn't.

I suppose if I just did that though i'd have plenty of time to work on it all week and get it right.

I got F by the way, but then i did refuse to do one of the peices of coursework.

Can you meet the person taking it before you enrol to go over what is expected both content and pace. That way it may be less daunting.

Hmmm possibly, kinda depends on the college being organised which is a rare thing lol.

Other prob at the mo is finding someone to have kids. The class is 9.30 - 1.30 on a Sat and Dd1 has ballet from 12.15 - 1.00, so not sure it will be workable.

Can't ask my mum as she does earlies usually on saturdays, my brother would be at work and xp is too unreliable and would whinge about bus fare.
