Help! 14 mo keeps pooing in the bath

Hello
I was wondering if anybody had any ideas. My 14mo ds has suddenly started pooing in the bath. He used to do it now and again when he was little, but hadn't for ages. He had a viral infection and was quite ill last week, then suddenly he has pooed in the bath 4 times in the last week.
No other changes to routine or anything, although he is still not back into his sleeping pattern having been ill.
Our loo and bathroom are separate, otherwise I'd think about holding him over the loo while he does it. As it is, I keep having to Dettol the bath. Yuk!
Any help much appreciated!

Sounds like he's pooing when he's all warm and relaxed, maybe because he'd normally poo when asleep and his sleep pattern's out of whack.
Fingers crossed it'll stop once he's sleeping better, but meanwhile maybe keep a potty or a bucket - something that's easy to Dettol - by the bath to hold him over...

Thanks Mrs Badger
Will get the bucket from the kitchen and see what happens tonight!

He doesn't usually poo in the night though. Very odd...

Hurrah! Took bucket in with me at bathtime, and bingo, nothing happened.
Long may it continue....
