Son aged 11 poorly to send to school tomorrow or not?

My son has a cold and with it a very sore throat. He has been to school today, but at the moment has no voice. Would you keep him off tomorrow if there is no improvement?
He doesn't have a temperature, but isn't really eating or drinking a lot without me prompting him to sip water. Is there anything I could be doing except keeping his fluids up and giving honey and lemon cough syrup?

Day at home. If he's not taking fluids without reminding then he shouldn't be in.

Dd was like this the other week so kept her at home. She was eating and drinking by the afternoon but if I'd sent her in she would of been sent home and she would of been off for more than a day.

But you know your ds, other option is see how he is in the morning.

As long as his fluids are up the eating will come when his throat doesn't feel so sore. Or get some soup best of both worlds then.

Hope he feels better soon
