I've read alot of the other thread and i know that i'm not the only one but I have to let this all go somewhere or i'll burst
I'm having mega problems with DD who is still wetting herself several times a day and has done for about 1 1/2 yrs. She never makes the decision to go to the toilet herself except for in the middle of the night and 1st thing in the morning. I do give her the chance and remind her to go and sometimes I have to make her go with lots of praise if she does but nearly every time her pants will be wet and more often than not, soaking, trousers socks the lot. So when she starts to wet she doesn't even try to hurry to the toilet, she'll just let me find out when I either notice or smell her. I try my very best to ignore this but it is so frustrating when I make her change herself and 5 mins late she has done it again. BTW apparently there is nothing medically wrong with her, no infections etc. I know it is me that is doing something wrong. I have watched enough parenting programs to know that the parents behavior is usually the problem, so i know it's me but what???? Arrrrghhhhhh!!!!!! Rant rant rant!!! She might as well be in nappies at the min as she is making no effort at all to toilet herself. I think i'm going mad!!!!!!

DD has just started Reception and her new best friend does this. Her mum went to see the school nurse and was given a specific program to follow. The school nurse said it isn't unusual but the girl has to be retrained to go to the toilet. If your DD isn't at school yet your HV will tell you how to sort it out. Good luck!
