Ds 11.5 mo, woke up in the night screaming, his head was covered in sweat, he had a temp of 37.9. Gave him some calpol and he cooled down a bit and went to sleep.

He has woken up this morning very grumpy, he still feels hot to the touch and has a temp of 38.1.

I have give some more calpol.

Is there anything else I should be doing? Is that a very high temp?

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

I wouldn't have said that was particularly high but all of mine go up to 39-40+ when they are poorly.. I think different kids have different temp ceilings iyswim. How is he otherwise? If ok I wouldn't really worry kids get temps all the time..

Thanks, sorry for the delay I couldn't get on mn.

He is very very grumpy and clingy but he can be like that some days anyway. Poor little thing Sad

He's never had a temp that high before and is pfb so I am probably over reacting Grin
