Teething, constipated and smelly wind

Hi, my 4 month old DD has started teething. She normally poos once per day or any other day, but she hasn't poo'd in about 5 days but has had quite a bit of wind. Normally her wind is odourless but today it's very smelly. Does anyone know if teething can cause stomach problems such as constipation and/or wind?

Thank you, Sarah

Breast or formula fed?

Formula fed. My DD did in fact do a huge runny poo tonight that leaked through her nappy. I think a trip to the doctors is needed.

My mum said I used to have terrible nappies and nappy rash when I was teething as a baby. Cooled boiled water with a little sugar in a bottle might help. If she was older and on solids I would suggest pureed fruit.

Could it be lactose intolerance, did you change formula recently?
