Moving to buggy part of pram

Sorry if this is a stupid question but i can't find any proper guidelines. When can I move my 6mo DD into the buggy part of her pram? She's got good head control but can't sit unaided. She sits well with support. She looks tiny in it though. Can she use it now. I feel thick Blush

I think it's usually guidance of 6 months but we moved around 5 months. I remember asking the health visitor if that was ok (big baby no longer fitted in carrycot) and she laughed her head off! I assumed that meant it was ok...

I moved dd at 3 months! She had v good head control and I kept it reclined as far as would go. She hated the pram-carrycot set up but loved the buggy set up - it transformed our lives (no exaggeration!)

Mines been sitting in the buggy but since about 2 or 3 months. He loves looking around and had grown out of the Moses basket bit (scream basket) by then anyway as it was very slim so he had no elbow room.

She'll be fine! :) does it have a cushion round the head thing?

Just thinking, we moved house when DS was 7 weeks and we have a pic of him the next weekend in the pushchair bit Blush he has held his head up from day one though!

We moved over at 10 weeks, but my baby is massive, with good head control. The guidance is 6 months, but he'd grown out of the carrycot, and wanted to see what was going on. If you want to move up, but your baby is tiny, get an insert to add some extra support, and start with the pram fairly flat, gradually working up to sitting upright.

We moved DD at around 2mo as she hated the carrycot. She had good head control and the pushchair could lay flat, although we tilted it ever so slightly up so she could see a bit as it was her nosiness that had been the problem.
I believe 6mo is the guidelines as a lot of pushchairs don't lie flat and babies without good head control could flop their head forward and obstruct their airway.

Thanks all. Thought she'd be ok but just wanted to check.
