im a mum tooooo!

have changed my name as am a bit embarrassed about this one.not sure why but i want to see what others think.14 weeks ago i had my first dd.i am back at work and i work in a local shop.i dont know why but when pregnant women or women with babies come in showing off their bumps/babies i feel like screaming "ive got a baby too!!" i just feel really annoyed like i want people to know i am a mum too.im 21 but look prob younger so people wouldnt expect it.i think it might be a jealousy thing? or just the fact that i am so proud to be a mum? im not the type to be saying "ooh when are you due? i had my little one so many weeks ago blah blah"
is this weird or natural? has anyone else experienced a similar thing? i hope this makes sense as its hard to explain what i really mean! thanks

I think this is totally natural! It doesn't sound weird to me!
Maybe it is because you want people to know about your dd or that you don't want to be at work away from her. Just enjoy listening to the chat if you aren't the type to join in and remember fond thoughts of your dd, this is what I do sometimes.
When I went back to work I used to get emotional as I hang large photographics for a living (well part of my job anyway) and I was hanging lots of cute baby pics and wanting to see ds!
I know what you mean about looking younger than you are, I am 29 but people say I could be 23 and when I was younger I found it hard to get served a drink. I had ds at 27 so was looking a little older by then!

They know you're a mum as you have baby snot/sick on your shoulder.

i do this too. i am 18 work as a part time waitress. whenever a table with kids comes in esp babies i try and telepathically tell the host to sit them in my section! i love fussing over them and giving them baloons and special ice creams with lots of sauce and sprinkles! and i am forver asking how old thier babies are so i can say oh i remember when ds was that age seems so long ago now, ooo my ds is that age too or i can't wait for ds to be that age you get the point!!i find people often warm to me when they know i have a son - probably cos i often work til midnight and sometimes am up at 5:30am!they don't seem to mind so much when i am walking round like a zombie, rushed off my feet and taking forever to get to them!

yay im not the only one then xmas person lol! how old is your ds then? i have been trying to get hold of a mum bracelet or necklace lol so people will know........how sad am i? i never get a chance to show off my dd as if im not working then my dp is so i spend most of the time i get with her in the house as i dont drive and there isnt anywhere to go near me.i live in spain..........whereabouts are you from in the uk?

I know what you mean, ds is 2.4 and yesterday he was being looked after my MIL, I had a relaxing morning wandering down the christmas market with dh but did not really enjoy myself because I kept seeing lots of families and I also wanted to shout "I am a mum too, I know what it is like to be a family"! I think you are probably missing her and also a very proud mummy .

im in the west midlands, but i'm moving to spain in just under 2 years. where in spain are you? ds is 5 months lol and it still hasn't gone away!

im on the costa blanca not far from torrevieja.where are you moving to? glad theres more of us out there doesntchristmasdragon!

im not sure yet i havent decided!probs costa del sol cos i have some family there or maybe sevilla or granada.
