Toddler hair cut suggestions

Brushing our 2yo lg's hair is a nightmare every morning. We had it trimmed last week, hoping that would make a difference. But it didn't. So we're taking it all off - well, most of it anyway! There's a hairdresser coming to the house tomorrow to cut it short (sob, sob!) but we don't know what to ask for. We'll take her advice, of course, but I was wondering if anyone has suggestions. She had gorgeous, thick, dark-blonde hair (the thickness is half the problem) so I don't know what would suit. Anyone been in the same situation and could recommend what worked? I'm looking for a miracle, no-more-tangles-or-sadness hairstyle! Any thoughts?! Thanks Smile

I think a short bob looks great on little girls. Dd is 6 but has had this hairstyle since she was 2 and it looks great and is easy to wash, dry and brush.

Know you may have already done the chop, but presuming the tangles still are an issue, we use Original Sprout Detangler spray for DD age 2 ringlets. Bloody marvellous stuff. Used to take me 20mins raking through knots. Couple of sprays and a tangle teezer pulls through in seconds.

Plait or bunch on top of head at night to reduce the overnight matting.

Hope the new hairstyle helps.

Do you use a tangle teaser?
