Hiya,

I really want to expand my repertoire when it comes to playing with my 1 year old. Can anyone recommend a good book with lots of play ideas?

Thank you

Not sure about a book, but have you tried Pinterest? I've just had a quick look and saw thisSmile

Babycentre has weekly/monthly activities appropriate to the developmental stage.

I think the best thing you can do is provide them with a safe space and leave them to it. 21 month old dd is currently completely engrossed in moving all the jars from the fridge to the work top and putting them in an exact line! Janet Lansbury's blog is good on independent play. Playful Parenting by Lawrence Cohen is also good about different types of play for all ages.
