Overnight nappy for 5 year old

Hi all,

I'm trying to find an overnight nappy for a 5 1/2 year old. She's completely fine during the day but just can't get through the night (and wets heavily, not just the odd accident) and gets very upset about it. I'm considering the Motherease nightime nappy but does anyone have any other recommendations, or any feedback on the Motherease one? Thanks v much!

Hmmm, it's a tough one as the funky nappies that would appeal to her such as Minky Yo-yos would not cope with heavy wetting. My suggestion would be for Wambamboos size 2s, which you can now get in pink, teamed with a funky wrap such as a Totsbots fleecy one or a Wacky Wrap. This would make her nappies more girly I think.
You will need to boost any nappy you getso try microfibre cloths - the best I find are Wilki's 3 pack of coloured ones which you can fold to fit.
Another advantage of bamboo nappies is that they don't smell of pee so much so with a quick rinse you could bucket them for a few days - I washed only once a week when DD1 was only in night nappies.
Good luck and hope she's dry soon - DD1 went dry the week after I spent 20 odd quid on 2 minki yo-yos - typical.

Well I tried motherease bed wetters but when it was a really really bad night they leaked still, partly dependent on the way they were lying I think.

Sorry I have gone to disposable pull ups as sometimes they get up in the night and go, sometimes not, sometimes dry, sometimes absolutely sodden, sometimes sodden & damp bed.

Poor them
