Sterilising bottles!

I'm currently away from home and at my boyfriends house (father) and I only bought My microwave steriliser which iv been using his dad has pulled out his daughters old steriliser he has had for 7 years and he has cleaned it out eith soapy water and run a cycle will this be safe to use still works fine (sorry if I sound really stupid) it's also avent and I have tommee Tippee bottles

I too think this will be fine. Sterilising I think is taken to the extreme anyway. As Long as the bottles are washed thoroughly with soapy hot water and rinsed they probably would be fine to use. The fear of God is put into us mums tHess days.

I've washed out mine from DD1 who is nearly 6 to use again, it's the process that's the important bit so as long as it's cleaned well and working it will be fine.
