Our DS keeps getting a slightly raised blotchy rash on his bottom and just above his penis. I'm not sure whether this is nappy rash as I thought nappy rash was caused by a combo of poo and wee and he seems to get it in areas (such as round the tops of legs where the poo dosen't get to. He wears cloth nappies with a flushable liner which are always washed at 60c in ecover washing liquid and we change him every 2-3hrs in the day. We only use wipes occassionally when out and at home his bottom is bathed in water we also try and let him air at each change. We don't use anything in his bath as he seems a bit prone to dry skin/eczema (gets it from his mother!) though we use occassionally a little baby shampoo. The only things we have been using on his bottom are sudo cream and bepathan (not at the same time) I'm wondering whether this are contributing to the problem or whether I should keep using them??? - what do others think???
