What activities do you do between waking and the first nap?

I'm going back to work soon, working 2pm-8pm, so I'm not going to see 7 month old DD after work as she'll be in bed, so I want to (attempt to) cram as much into the time I do have with her as possible (I say this now, we'll see how well I do after a few weeks! )
I have loads of stuff I can do with her between her first nap and when I start work, but I always struggle for ideas for things to do in the first bit of the day.
She usually gets up at 7ish and her first nap starts around 9.30/10am.

At that age it was just breakfast and general playing/pottering at home. Although I think his nap may have been a bit earlier than that. Maybe you could squeeze in a trip to the park of you have one close by? I wouldn't put too much pressure on yourself though.

Same as ODog. It takes ages to get dressed, brush hair, brush teeth, sort breakfast and get myself ready for work as well. Any spare time I have I spend on the floor playing with toys. DS seems happy enough with that. He's 13 mo btw.

Oh and add in the inevitable poo he decides to do just before we leave and that just about sums up our morning!

We always just played at home with toys before first nap.

Thanks everyone, I think I'm just over complicating things by trying to plan an activity every day!

Yep, mostly pottering at home: playing with toys, reading stories, dancing. I have very occasionally taken her for an early morning swim (pool is a two minute walk from our house) but to be honest DD seemed a bit put out by that.
