11 months... no teeth!

Ds is almost 11 months old has no teeth and no signs at all of them coming anytime soon.

He is under a consultant for cmpa, he saw his consultant last month who looked at his gums and said they were healthy.

It's starting to worry me as a few friends have had babies after I had ds and they all have a couple of teeth now.

Any late teethers out there?

My DDs came through slowly too. She cut her first literally a week before she turned one. Then there was a long pause again and she was 14/15 months i think when SIX yes SIX SECHS 6 teeth came through at once!! Well i was having nightmares for days as they pushed through. So now we're at nearly 19 months and i think i can see another set coming through. So it just takes time for some babies. I will say she made teething actions from the age of 6/7 months so it was a long ass wait.

Libraries - definitely not a man :)

I guess I will ask for an x - ray for my daughter if it goes on too long. When she was small they said she either has them or doesn't so an x-ray won't actually help on a small child.

waves to Shelagh's nephew If it's the same as me there's a UK group it would be worth him joining (if he hasn't already). They have an xmas party etc where kids can meet other kids etc. I wish I'd known when I was younger!

Rather excited at spotting another me, but reassuring to OP we are remarkably rare!!

Mine were all late teethers - one didn't get his first tooth til 16 months. They were also among the last in their classes to lose their first tooth. 13yo now needs braces but has to wait as he still has quite a few baby teeth to lose. It's just one of the (many) kid things where there's a huge variation in normal.

I didn't get my first tooth until 14 months.

I now have lots of teeth Grin

So good to hear, everywhere I read on the Internet (I know, I know) goes on about how they will get their first tooth around 4-6 months. I'm one to go in a blind panic with anything to do with ds though.

I was hoping he would get them soon to help with his eating, he gives it a good go buy struggles with anything that's not softer.

And owch to bf with them teeth Shock

My first DD didn't get teeth til 12 months. Then we had the week from hell and she got 6-7 in one go. She was also bald til 12 months as well. Poor gummy little goblin. She's now 5 and she's got all her teeth and lots of hair.
