When to see a GP for a cough?!

Hi all,
My 8 week old son has got a real chesty cough. When he coughs it sounds painful for him and when he is breathing you can hear it on his chest. Is it best to take him to the GP and have him checked tomorrow? We are due for his 8 week check Friday but don't know if I should leave it that long?

at that young age i think its best to get it checked out if you're worried

If you're worried then take him. No one should ever think badly of you taking such baby to the Dr

Get it checked out, don't wait until Friday, especially as you can hear it in his chest.

The fact you think it hurts when he coughs is not good. He should definitely be seen.

Get it checked out. Coughs can quickly turn nasty in little ones.
