DS's comfort toy didn't come back with him!

And he is still up. Refusing to settle. DP sent 'pooh bear' to the CM with him today. bad idea as I have previously learnt and never repeated. I have tried offering a similar sized but nowhere near as bad smelling toy. I have explained that pooh bear is keeping daddy company at work, I have tried cuddling up with him.

He is still in his room rattling around occaisionally crying out despite mulitple attempts on my behalf at settling. BTW I do not have car, DP is out at work for at least another hour so no real way of obtaining pooh bear.

Oh dear. Um, could you get a taxi firm to collect the bear from wherever it is?

I haven't let her know. She knows it is DS's favourite toy, so I'm sure she must have realised. DS didn't get back here till gone 8 so it has already been a late night for her.

Long shot but do you know roughly what pooh'y bear pooh'd of and do you have anything similar smelling lying around? Alternative is stick something really boring on the telly, your most boring video, cuddle up, and one of you should be asleep quickly, and the other one will probably follow soon after.

I think I'm just going to try and take him to bed again - and stay there this time! Me if not him... I might put something incredibly dull on upstairs. I could easily fall asleep tbh!

As long as ONE of you falls asleep (and stays asleep) there's no problem

Can you get a spare one and rotate it after letting it snuggle up with the smelly one to acquire a little of its "magic soporific perfume"

I saw someone post a request, with a photo, for a duplicate of an out of date, no longer sold comfort toy and the response was very good, they could have obtained several replacements.

Hi yes, that was Hunker! I do keep meaning to get a spare. Will do so at the end of the week. Poor DS.
