spent the morning in town (small market variety) and saw loads of the girls from the local comp ,which i attended, parading around with thier skirts half way up their arses and had one of those disturbing moments of clarity ,i too used to wander round with my skirt rolled up and i was by no means a skinny girl. I wanted to run up to them and say roll it down at least three inches it will look so much nicer and much more flattering but resisted these triiny and susannah urges and came home instead . So anyone else admit to wearing your skirt way way too short ? and now cringes at the thought ?

yep, if my daughter even thinks about wearing one at the length I used to I will staple it to her knees!
Our local comp actually gets complaints about school girls flashing their pants as they walk up the steep hill to school, due to ridiculous nature of rolled up school skirts. It was suggested that trousers became mandatory for both sexes as the girls were taking it too far.

Yes, I did. And I too feel disturbed when i see young girls walking around with their skirts rolled up, but not because it looks unattractive or unflattering, but because these girls (unaware of just how lovely they really are, usually) are putting themselves at risk. Rightly or wrongly, unpalatable as it is, girls dressed in school uniform with the skirts rolled up so high are sending out a potent signal which, as immature teenagers, they cannot fully understand.

our skirts looked stupid if we rolled them up cos they were a line so just above knee length it was!

its not that I wore my skirt too short ..its that I made sure the slit in the back reached up high .... I mean really high

(we had this spot check thing in assembly when you had to kneel down and if your skirt didn't touch the floor you were in trouble )
