XP left when DS was 3 months old.
Very sporadic contact over the years.
XP is an addict. DS has had his heart broken over the years (now 14) due to his father not turning up to pre-arranged contact, not delivering on promises etc.
Last year XP was given another chance to build some kind of relationship, he lasted about a month before dropping out again.
I told him not to contact us again as I was done accommodating him.
Now DS (through the unfortunate influence of family members added to general teenage angst) refuses to accept his dad has any responsibility and blames me for 'stopping xp from seeing him'.
XP has no intention of organising a court order or seeing a solicitor to seek formal access.
At the minute I'm riding out the tantrums and accusations from DS but they are taking their toll.
Not sure what I'm asking to be honest.
DS is currently researching what age he has to be to see his father without my permission.
It's awful watching him be so desperate for his dad's approval.
Any ideas??
