I have found out that a friends 13 year olds email address is xx(name)babyxx@email provider.com

Does anyone else find this disturbing or am I over-reacting?

corrina, its the fact it has kisses and baby, i just found it a bit flirty, sexual for what, IMO, is still a child.
I was just curious what others thought!

oh thought u was shocked bout her having emial address thats why i wanted to check (ds1 has his own one and he is only 7 but then he only email grandaparents since they moved oh and i do get a daily one that says "i love you mummy"), but then i do agree with u young girls definately are too desperate to be that much older, no you are not over reacting if it was my child then i would not allow it, maybe the parents think it 'cute'.

maybe the parents don't know her email address?mine doesn't know mine. i don't email her as i live with her so would seem a bit pointless!! is putting baby in really that sexual though?

colditz · 05/12/2006 22:07

What bugs me more is sexualisation of the word 'baby'. It isn't and never should be remotely related to sex, except as a by-product.

hulababy · 05/12/2006 22:10

I have the term baby in my username here, but it doesn't have a sexualised meaning at all.
