I cant quite believe how quickly the 'Nappy Bug' takes you over once you find reusable nappies. Im now a mass enthusiast but i swear it hasnt taken over my life...... honest!

I have created a forum just about nappies and related issues. Please take a look and let me know what you think. Feel free to post to it as well.

Thanks

I?ve had a look; it?ll take you a while to get enough members together to get a decent chat going, IMHO! Is there a Real Nappy Network near you? They can be a place for you to enthuse. If not, set one up, that?s what I?m in the process of doing!!

I am part of the Hackney Real Nappy Network: www.hackneyrealnappy.net we have regular(ish!) meetings and organise events, talks and demos in the area. We are supported by the Environment Dept of Hackney Council (they provide us with budget for events, made us a banner) so you could try your local council. The Women's Environmental Network are also a fab resource (WEN - www.wen.org.uk/) Good luck!

Right, my first point of call was a local Real Nappy Network, in our case, Wiltshire. She had contacts on people in the area ish. But as you?ve got an incentive scheme, contacting the council sounds the ideal way to start. Basically you need to get hold of as many people to do with real nappies locally as possible.

I then organised a nappuccino at the local Starbucks and contacted the local paper (see here ) and the radio about it. From there, I set up the yahoo group, and now have set up a regular local meeting by joining forces with our local Breastmates group. It will start in the New Year. We will write a press release soon, and circulate it to the local media.

So far, we don?t have many members, but I think with continued exposure, people should hopefully get the message, and start coming forward to ask questions!
