How many nappies do you go through for one baby

I easily go through 140 nappies a week (two boxes of pampers) my dd literally goes all the time so therefore obviously needs changed all the time. She eats around every 2 hours during the day (more often every 1.5) but does sleep all night... She's 21 weeks and I don't know to me my bank balance :(just seems like a lot?! Lol

20 a day seems like an awful lot, but I would back you up that some babies absolutely do notice and object (loudly) when their nappy is wet, even if it's magic Pampers super-dry space age technology or whatever. Mine did until she was about 6 months, then seemed to stop getting bothered about it.

It sounds like a lot! It's very easy to see through the reasoning behind the wet indicator on pampers nappies! Why advertise that the nappies can be worn for 12 hours and keep dry at the same as telling you when they've done the very first wee? Marketing madness! Also where does this 'pampers must be best' thing come from? Purely the fact that they are most expensive I expect, personally I find them useless and it sounds like they're not working at all for you if dd is noticeably uncomfortable after one wee!! I'd try another brand, honestly there's a reason why nearly everyone who has tried aldi says they are the best! About 3-4 nappy changes daily just for wees is average, then dirty nappies on top depending on when they occur.

Also, just to add even if you don't want to swap brands swap from the new baby ones to the normal ones (the ones without the indicator line) because they are feel quite different I think they are more absorbent your dd might feel better for longer in them.
Aldi nappies are good though!

Agree that 20 is a ludicrous amount.
I was going to say about 6 at that age (mine dc are older, but that was a 'normal' number per day). Now, I know all dc are different and all that, but seriously, not more than 3x as many! Shock
Also agree that it's not worth paying Pampers prices - that's even when you are leaving them on for a longer time. The blink of an eye they must be on your dd, I can't imagine even the worst nappy would have any problems (and cheap doesn't mean worst either)

You don't have to change them everytime they have one wee! I change my baby every 3-4 hours or if he's done a poo and he sleeps seven hours at night so after that I use about 5-6 a day

I’d love an update! Did weaning help?

I have exactly this issue... O simply cannot be left in a wet nappy. Have tried all the brands! On a good day that’s 12-13 a day but more usually it’s 17... once I went to A&E as she went 30 times!!! They couldn’t find anything wrong.

Usually large volumes. I’ve tried many nappy brands.

O’s fully breastfed and approaching 4 months - considering weaning earlier if it’d help!
