2 week old feeding - infacol problem??

Hi my 2 week old can only take 2oz so we are having to feed every 2 hours. We have given him infacol on every feed and was wondering if this could be stopping him from taking more milk.

Strongly doubt it. Dose is so small and it isn't calorific.

Keep going!

2oz is good going for a 2 week old! My dd didn't take more than that reliably for about 2 months.

They have very little stomachs! I think that's about right for that age and advice is not to over feed and stretch their stomachs.

My DD is 14 weeks old and still feeds every 2 hours - babies tummies are tiny so feeding little and often is ideal Smile

Mine is 12 weeks and feeds every 2 hours in day. It's normal

RachelF87 · 03/10/2015 22:05

Thanks everyone. Just wanted to make sure this was "normal" Smile

My 21 week old feeds every 2 hours still if I'm lucky ( 1.5 hours of not) this is bf or ft regardless.., does sleep all night though so can't complain too much but the days are exhausting lol

Newlywed56 · 03/10/2015 22:08

*ff not ft!

Whatthefreakinwhatnow · 03/10/2015 22:14

mine is 2 hourly day and night Sad

MissTwister · 04/10/2015 09:37

Mine sleeps most of the night so I take the 2hr day trade off!

WorldsBiggestGrotbag · 04/10/2015 09:38

12 weeks here and feeds 2 hourly day and night!

Scattymum101 · 04/10/2015 17:35

Sounds about right for 2 weeks. Both mine took small amounts and built it up as their tummies grew. He'll start going longer between feeds as he is able to take more milk.

madwomanbackintheattic · 04/10/2015 17:38

darling ds1 fed 2 hourly day and night until he was 10 mos.
