Separation anxiety

DS2 is almost 11mo and I cannot put him down or leave the room let alone leave him with someone else without drama and tears. He literally hangs on my leg while I cook dinner for example wanting to be picked up, crying and saying "mammammammama".

I know it's a phase and it gets better but if you had a DC who wa a particularly hit by it, when did it peak and when did it start getting better?

I hear you! Severe separation anxiety with DD nearly 12 months. Following several settling in sessions I've left her twice for 1.5 hours with childminder so far, she's screamed and cried the entire time ... Childminder said worst case she's ever seen! Dreading going back to work.

8 months and hysterical if I even look like I'm going to leave the room.

Oh god. He starts settling into nursery in a fortnight and I know he's going to be that snotty teary kid you always see hanging off the nurses crying hysterically all day Sad
