MMR - how was your baby after?

Hi DS1 (13m) has MMR on Monday; just wondering if there are any post vaccination things I should be aware of? I'm sure my HV will give me some advice but interested in others experience...

DS had stiff/sore legs for about 24 hours. He couldn't walk or crawl, was very sad to see :-( He also had a fever that evening. No further symptoms, but have friends with babies who have had a high fever about a week after the MMR due to the measles part kicking in.

Neither of mine had any problems. No temp, no crying once they were snuggled up and back out of the surgery and no problems getting to sleep. I was expecting much worse and thankfully they weren't at all unsettled.

Dd1 cried a lot afterwards and was sleepy but after a mammoth nap was absolutely fine until about 2 weeks later when she had a high temp for a couple of days. Dd2 cried far less but had the high temp within hours and slept for most of the day. The next day she was over it.

No problems whatsoever!

Just a temperatue for a couple of days here, but neurofen sorted it out.

DD2 was properly ill (high temperature, lethargy, crying all the time) about a week afterwards and then came out in a full measles rash over her entire body. Once the rash appeared she was absolutely fine.

It is mentioned as an uncommon reaction in the leaflet but I know at least 3 other cases in my circle of playground Mums so worth being aware of and wouldn't recommend getting the vaccine if you have important plans up to a fortnight after.

Grumpy for a couple of days, sick once, and a light rash a week later. Not in any particular distress.

Absolutely fine. I'm sure that when DD had hers 6 years ago they talked about possible side effects 3, 6 and 10 days later. When DS had his earlier this year they were talking about raised temps etc. weeks later. I'm not sure how I'd have ever linked the two.

Fine immediately afterwards, threw up randomly about a week afterwards. I found giant choc buttons helped right after the injections ;)

There's a leaflet you should be given which details which parts of the vaccine kick in when. DS had his three weeks ago and seemed to have a bad reaction to the measles bit 10 days later. He had a fever and was incredibly grumpy for a good few days but is happy as larry again now. It does say something about reactions up to 6 weeks later but I think that us uncommon.

Have plenty of calpol stocked up but it shouldn't be too bad.

We also had the measles reaction ten days post vaccine, but fine after that.

Absolutely fine, observed no side effects at all.

My DD had sore legs and arms. 5 hours post jabs she couldn’t stand up and around 1 pm next day she started feeling better. She also had other side effects like some rush after 5 weeks.
No website acknowledged these side effects. And I talked to HV and nurses and they never heard of this. The only thing they agreed with is that a strong reaction is a good immune response.
Luckily I found a thread in mumsnet and some mothers commented about very same thing.
Now my DD is due her second MMR and I am a bit worried.
I was wondering if any of those children who had the same reaction had their second dose and if they still had side effects. Your input would be much appreciated. Thank you.

One was a bit feverish, weepy, but back to normal in 24 hours. The other was right as rain from the get-go.

Had last week, no affects so far. I gave two doses of calpol as precaution though as recommended by doctor. Vaccination around 10am, gave calpol at 12 and again 7pm before bed.
