Thoughts opinions please
I am a forty something women who is dyslexic. I have yesterday completed my OU degree in psychology. However, the last module has been a nightmare with the University. Apparently all the tuition has cured me and they withdrew the tutor support I was getting after the module started. Apart from a whole history of terrible family stuff happening I got myself in such a state by the time the exam came I deferred and wrote a load of giberish for my final essay gaining me a really poor mark. I resat last week. I had had a panic attack in the morning and the invigilator arrived at my home 30 minutes after the exam was supposed to start. I have been on hold to the OU for 15 minutes and was sobbing down the phone in a total state. I had the then sit my final exam worth a 1/3 of degree classification in that state. Amazingly I have managed to (with special circumstances to the exam only) to gain a mark of 69 ( 2 off a 2.1) for the written part I have gained a 68. One off a 2.1.
What would you do. My mum thinks I should complain and try to get it bumped up to a 2.1. She is a university lecturer and says with my circumstances in her Uni they would round it up a grade at her university but I am with the OU and they are very hard markers.
Thoughts and I being greedy?

I don't work at a university but it might be worth speaking to someone there and seeing if you can request a review. It would be worth writing down very factually all the issues you had in the last year so you can go through them one by one with the staff. If they have already reviewed your exam situation I'm not sure if there are further circumstances that they could take into consideration for the written part but if you don't ask you might always wonder 'what if?'
