Leaving 18 month old for 3 nights :-|

Hi there,

My partner has treated me and my best friend to two nights in Prague next month. Whilst I'm really happy and excited for this I'm totally guilt ridden and worried to be leaving my 18 month old daughter.

There's two things really that concern me. Firstly I still breastfeed her 2/3 times in 24 hours. I'm going to take my pump with me but I just worry she may have weaned when I get back. What's the likelihood of that you think?

She'll be with her dad with the help of both our mums so she'll be with people she sees all the time doing really fun things so she'll be kept busy. I just worry that she'll be confused as to where I am and distressed. I wonder if when I come back she'll be a bit disconnected from me.

Any advice to make me not feel as selfish and guilty as I do now? :(

Don't know about the weaning thing (would it be so awful?), but DD will have a fantastic time and get spoiled rotten. Enjoy the hugs when you get home!

No it wouldn't because it's almost time really. The reason he booked it is because we'd like another baby and this is sort of my time to go away have fun and then settle back into a new chapter :)
