ds off food when teething

Ds us 7mo I suspect he's teething at the minute or he's coming down with a bug either way he's not himself. He is refusing food after a few mouthfuls but quite happy to have a bottle instead. He's on the aptamil hungry baby milk. Would you let him just have milk why he's feeling off or should I persevere with food too?

DS is the same when teething, we soon learned there was no point persisting with food and just offered more milk. He'd sometimes have soft fruit and yoghurts though, so might be worth a try, but there's no point pushing it and making them more miserable!

I think it's quite normal for them to go off food when teething as it can really hurt their mouths. I always just offer food as normal but I never try to coerce into eating. The appetite should return to normal once the worst of the teething is past.

DS1 was/is the same. He's 13m now. I worried about it for a while but then noticed that his appetite comes and goes but he always takes his milk so I just go with it. He must be going through a growth spurt now as he's eating everything in sight...
