10 week old baby and sleep

Hi there

I was wondering if anyone can help. My baby is ten weeks old and during the night thrashes her arms and legs around like crazy, she isn't awake all of the time when she is doing it but she sleeps in a crib next to our bed and in a peanut swaddle so I can see and hear her all night. I was just wondering if her thrashing is normal or not? She really goes for it during the night but during the day she is fine! Does anyone have any ideas what if could be or is dad just being a baby? Thank you!

I think it's pretty normal but if you're concerned, chat to the HV

It's really normal. They spoke about this in my classes. It's just a reflex that makes babies thrash their arms about. Mine does it too but hates being swaddled.

My DS used to do this, and disturb himself during the night. He would not be swaddled. We got a Sleepyhead, and it really helped. So, really normal, if somewhat annoying for us!
