Hi all,
I'm currently studying for B62 - BSc (hons) computing and IT
Its looking like I won't be able to complete before the qualification ends in december 17 - unless I want to do my final 3 x modules all at once (including the big project - reviews suggest this is a BAD idea)
So after talking to student support, I have some remaining options:
1- Change to open degree (in computing and IT) do the last module Sept-Jan.... on the new higher feeds
2 - Change to Q62 - which is pretty much the same degree I'm doing now - just a different structure... I'd need to go back and do an additional level 1 module in order to get it.
3 - Switch to open degree and claim BSc without honours - no higher fees and complete summer 2017
I'm talking to as many people as possible, and at the moment am leaning towards option 3 - I don't NEED the honours, and in my career, I don't really need the degree at all, its more experience, but it IS a lesser degree... does it really matter? I don't have an issue with the 'Open' aspect, as I believe I'd be able to put it on a CV as - BSc - Open (Computing and IT) or similar?
Any thoughts would be appreciated!!

What's the difference in cost between 1 and 2?

I wouldn't do 3 because I'd think I'd got that far, I may as well get the honours bit. It would bug me forever but it might not bug you at all. That you've put it as option 3 suggests it might bug you a bit as well?

additional cost appears to be in the region of 2.5k for option 1 and 3k+ for option 2....

My company have paid so far... really not sure they'd be able to cover cost which was 3 x higher...

I don't think the lack of honours would bug me forever... it might irritate a little on graduation day, but I think thats it
