Can you freeze breast milk that has been refrigerated for a few days?

Can you freeze breast milk that has been in the fridge for a few days, or do you have to freeze immediately? I though I would use the expressed bottles in my fridge but plans changed due to illness and I don't want to waste it unnecessarily.

I wouldn't risk it.

Yes you can as long as it's not older than the recommended time in the fridge, I think it's 4 days but check the kellymom website.

Smell it, breast milk smells off if it's gone off.

It says up to 8 days but ideally 72 hours.

Above link has all the info, it's a great, very reputable website.
