Raw chicken contamination

Hello.

I'm hoping that someone will just tell me that I'm being precious here!

I went into a butchers and DD(4 months) spat her dummy on the floor. The butcher grabbed it and took it off to be rinsed and handed it back. A few minutes later I gave it back to DD.

After talking to the butcher whilst he was showing me some cuts of meat I noticed that he was touching everything and not washing his hands... Like slapping raw chicken breasts on the counter.

Now I'm being really paranoid about DD's dummy. I took it away from her as soon as I said him handling the chicken then touching other general items but that's the likelihood she gets some form of illness from this?!

I suppose there is a risk, but even so it's still highly unlikely. Maybe he washed his hands when he took the dummy to be rinsed, that would have made sense.

try not to worry too much.
Is the baby well at the moment?

I'm trying not to worry! She's ok, she's had a bit of a dodgy tummy lately so don't want to confuse that with anything that might be something else!
My brothers kitchen (and general) hygiene has always been horrendous and never made anyone Ill!
