Grobag confusion

I'm a bit confused about what I put my daughter in under her grobag.

Up till now she was wearing a long sleeve vest and a 1 tog grobag but the website says that now it's a bit colder she should be wearing a long sleeve vest AND a cotton pyjama top.

I haven't even seen cotton pyjama tops for 2 month olds - only sleepsuits - do these even exist?

Would a long sleeve vest and a sleepsuit be too hot?

Yy winchester - I followed the guidelines the other night (s/sleeve vest and l/sleeve top with 2.5 tog bag) and DD was crying she was so hot (she's 3 months).

Tonight (and most nights lately) she's in an l/sleeve vest and 2.5 tog bag and she's toasty enough. Every baby is different - I know if I put her in anything more atm she'd overheat!

Re l/sleeve pyjama tops tho - I've just been using normal tops as she doesn't have any pyjamas. That was when we were using her 1 tog bag.

Mine is in a short sleeve vest, sleep suit and 2.5 tog bag. I have them like this most of the year unless very hot where I have a lighter bag.
If it's very cold I might use a long sleeve vest too.
My HVs have always told me that babies often have cold hands and you should feel the top of their backs or chest for temperature.

You just need a long sleeve top. No need to buy anything special. When you take them out feel his legs, they'll be baking.

Such a wide variation ! I haven't started using the grobag yet as feltvit hadn't been cold enough and i only have 2.5 tog. I was going to ask those of you using vests, sleepsuitand 2.5tog grobag what you will do when it gets cold but i guess you have better heating than me! :-)

If it gets cold I might add a blanket, make it a long sleeve vest rather than a short sleeve one, or pop a heater in the room if necessary.

My DS's room is 18-19 at the moment and he's in a 2.5 tog GroBag with a long sleeved vest or pyjama top. As it gets colder he'll be in the 2.5tog with pyjamas, maybe also a short sleeved vest if its very cold (last winter it was 16 degrees at points in there). He seems happy enough! (He's nearly 1)

We've got a cold house. Even though the groegg has been hovering around 19-20 we've got him in a 1.5 tog bag, short sleeve vest and long sleeve baby gro. We figured that we sleep in full length pjs and a goose down duvet all year! 19C in our house feels cooler as it's not a modern air tight house so never stuffy. Once the weather is cooler we will up the tog of the grobag, use a cardigan if necessary and of course use heating as necessary.

We've got either a 1.2 or 1.5 tog on but with a short sleeved vest, babygrow and then a blanket over the top too. Room is 19 degrees at the moment, but I only know that because the monitor says so. I don't obsessively look at it, I just go with what it feels like.
